hey, well i read that book when i was about ten and i thought that it was amazing! ever since, i have read it about 50 or more times!  , so when the movie came out, i wasn't expecting it to be good, because i think that 90% of all movies that derive from books are crap. yesterday my dad came home with some movies, and he happened to rent Ella Enchanted, so obviously i watched it. now as a childrens movie it wansn't that bad. BUT as a movie that comes from a great book, i was insulted! it ruined the movies within the frist 3-4 scnenes! URGH  y can't they keep it the same?  its not like it was so long like LOTR! this just really ticks me off, like the harry potter movies, that could have been SO much better. anywayz, this is just wat i think...message me if u want. byesbyes!

I'll admit that there are quite a few corny scenes, and the movie would have been much better if the directors would have stuck more to the book, but in a way, the movie wasn't really all that bad. However, I definately agree that it was disappointing. I was hoping to see Apple, and it would have been interesting to see how the directors portray all the voices Ella could immitate.
Maybe if you try to think of the movie as something other than the book, perhaps you wouldn't hate it so much. Then again, you might anyway. One may never know.

They should make an movie that actually follows the book! A movie that actually resembles the book in some way! Yeah sure, the character names were the same, and the fact that Ella has to obey everything, but come on! Really! Call it something else if your going to change the plot that much. If they do make a real Ella Enchanted movie, I think it would be an wonderful.
